My engine number is ZX400GE031532 WHAT Year is that? Im thinking not an l9 as frame says (unless I have a different head) as I have no reed valves for the emissions crap, any help is massively appreciated

Unfortunatly the engines are not stamped by year. ZX400GE015001 was the first L1 engine and they just kept Increasing the number until 2003.

I will check mine if I remember and let you know what it is.

Failing that search the forum for other engine numbers and see if you can get a rough idea.

Thank you, just want to know if its L5 onwards, but like I said it can't be as has no reed valves to exhaust
