Re: MillaMeter's Mk2 Rebuild
Hi,
Well, after all this stupid weather, I decided to knuckle down and get dirty (quite literally with my polishing kit)
I got a lush L9 radiator all freshend up with a powdercoated grill, polished fan switch, and stainless bolts. Also got a set of 4 clear indicator lenses which I must say look very cool. Clutch lever polished like chrome, exhaust strap arrived and modded it abit by sticking green tape behind the laser cut to make it unique
Regards
Rich

Hi,
Just as an idea, I came across some carbon vinal laying around the house, so I thought I'd put it to better use!
Not bad I think, wonder what else I could carbonate

Re: MillaMeter's Mk2 Rebuild
Goddamnit Rich.
I was looking for information on replacing the head gasket, and I've been here ogling the pictures in this for the last three quarters of an hour.
Someone hide this thread. No, wait, don't. I still want to look.

I got loads of pictures of the engine in bits at a very big size so if you're interested I can send them to you?
Some update pics (notice the brand spanking new nose cone )

Re: MillaMeter's Mk2 Rebuild
Hi,
Well, I am proud to say I finished polishing up the zorst today and topped her up with bike fluids and she growled into life!!!!
She purrrrrs like a kitten and is sooooo smooth compared to what she sounded like before I stripped her down. I decided to rip her out the garage in the sunshine today and took a few piccies. Amazingly she has NO leaks at all! A quick carb balance and plug clean and shes sound!
Will upload a vid of her running soon.
Regards
Rich

Re: MillaMeter's Mk2 Rebuild
Hi,
Video as promised, bike sounds lumpy in he vid but trust me it's mint (typical clutch rattle)
Only lower fairings need bolting on, chain and sprocket set to arrive and fit, 2 front indicators and a set of front footpegs and shes done!
Just finished polishing the stainless steel grab rail, was custom made (bought from ebay) for £5!!! guy payed £80 when he had it made, talk about day light robbery

Re: MillaMeter's Mk2 Rebuild
Hi,
Not been much of an update latly due to me running into a small problem. My cheap nasty fibreglass fairings don't like the genuine nose cone, so I'm having to wait for something to pop up
I have however got round to overhauling the gen cover, she also has a chain and sprocket set on now. I have blatted it up and down the road a few times and doesn't seem to pull as she did 6 months ago. (prob due to still having 6 month old fuel in the tank) I'll get it sorted onm the dyno aswell, will be interesteing to see what shes kicking back there.
Just 2 lower fairings and she's done!!
Regards
Rich
