"Frankenbike"

Post by Big Hoddie »

ARD racing are hard at work at my customised nose cone, then itll be whipped off to my painters. My 2005 gsxr 600 radial master cylinder and lever are here, waiting to be fitted and my exhaust will soon be hacked up so its not as enormous looking haha. Will be fitting my KYB shock I won on ebay some time next week and my new tyre should be here any day, as my brand new one was sheared off when I slid 30 feet :(

Not anything special at the moment, particuarly as it seems the boys at ARD racing just used filler on the air ducts, rather than properly filling them in like I asked....

Anywho, this is off to my friend to be properly prepped and painted, so should be here end of the week, with any luck, but won't be fitted straight away as I changed my mind about the lights I want to use and have sent the old-new ones off and ordered some new-new ones :P

Read on here that a nice easy mod is to ditch the return throttle cable....not given me a quicker action, per se, but the throttle feels lighter....

What would happen if they did? Throttle lock open? They shouldnt, though, right? Think cargo or cansa or someone said they used It for a year with no issues...

if your return springs fail your throttle will be permanantly "on", for 10g of "mass" it aint worth it, if you want smoother throttle, oil the cables, or fit a throttle cam to give you a 1/8-turn throttle.

I looked at the domino cam, but not sure a) which cam and b) which zx6r cable to use as the zxr one is too short....

you can make one IIRC out of perspex, you basically get the current one, and give it a bigger diameter, therefore bigger circumference...ill try with mine over summer.
