Picked this up last night off a member on here, its an L2 manufactured 1992 registered in 1998.
my plans........

clean up all the rust, remove some of the stickers, paint the wheels and use it.
the bike is not currently running but i think a new set of plugs and clean the carbs will sort that, it attempts to fire so nothing major, on returning home last night looks like one of the fork seals has gone as its peed out its oil, and also probably gonna need a new chain as its a bit rusty.will keep you updated as i work on it.

spent a few hours on it this evening, removed some of the stickers and what was left of the tank pad, whipped the plugs out and put a nice set of clean plugs in it, put the battery on charge this morning so it was ready when i got it home from work, clean plugs and fully charged battery and away it went. cleaned the discs up with a wire brush on a drill and also attacked the well rusty and seized chain, have spent hours wriggling and lubing each chain link, got half of it done and its not looking too bad.desperately needs a good service, but i'll get it mot'd first before i start splashing any more cash out on it.

Lookin' good there baz!! Get those nuts in a box of WD40 and theyll be good to go.

Fitted my new blue screen.what a pig them rubber grommets are to get on.

fork seal is pissing out the right hand side and i think its been like it for a while as the oil is burnt onto the disc, just ordered 2 seals from cradley so will be doing that next few days, then i'll burn the crap off the disc on the way to the mot station.

If i were they guy it was bought from id be kicking myself now, thats for sure!

i think it was a fair price considering it wasn't running and no tax or mot, it needs a new chain & sprockets (but hoping to get it motd as is) fork seals leaking, have ordered new seals, i was more worried about the headers they looked well rotten but i have got it going, i will be taking the fairings off and the headers for closer inspection and a repaint, engine seems ok but yet to take it out for a blast so who knows.anyways i'm pleased with it and this time i won't be selling.

right ............ done the fork seal today pig of a job and i can see why they charge soo much to do it.But its done!

and now the fairings off i can see a list of jobs coming on.........

While the wheels were off me and Gem treated em to a nice coat of paint over the weekend.Chain seems to be ok now and well oiled, will try and get it in for an mot this week somethime.
