Servicing.
??/05/2008 - Cam Chain and full service by Elliots of Cricklade @ ~33,000 miles.
??/05/2009 - Oil and oil filter change - genuine Kawasaki oil filter, normal semi-synthetic Magnatec 10w/40.
??/05/2009 - New Tsubaki chain and Renthal chainwheels.
12/05/2010 - Head Gasket replaced - genuine Kawasaki item.
12/05/2010 - Full service - Genuine Kwasaki oil filter, fuel filter, water filter, Castrol Power 1 Racing 10w/40.
18/05/2010 - Replaced sprocket carrier bearing - new Koyo 6205zzc3 metal sealed bearing.

+ Bridgestone Battlax BT-020 front and BT-92R rear,
+ Micron full stainless steel race exhaust system,
+ Rejetted with Dynojet #92s
+ UKDM spec CDI,
+ UKDM spec Odometer,
+ JDM carbs,

+ Early L model high compression pistons,
+ Early L model crank shaft,
+ Renthal 47 tooth rear chainwheel,
+ Renthal 14 tooth gearbox chainwheel,
+ EBC Pro-Lite discs and pads,
+ Aftermarket fairings,
+ Black double bubble screen,
+ [Tail tidy,
Motrax LED tip rear indicators,
plate mounted reflector,
LED number plate bolts
Renntec Grab Rail in white]


Modifications Already Done.

+ UKDM CDI unit.
+ UKDM Odometer unit, acquired reading 45093m, JDM unit at swap reading 58720km.
+ EBC ProLite discs, front and back.
+ EBC FA180 pads front
+ Micron full stainless steel racing exhaust - headers, link pipe, end can.
+ Renthal 47 tooth rear chainwheel.
+ Renthal 14 tooth gearbox chainwheel.
+ Bike-it black, standard length brake and clutch levers.
+ Motrax RSend tail tidy.
+ Motrax LED Tips rear indicators.
+ LED number plate bolts.

Modifications Acquired.

+ Goodridge braided brake hoses for the lower hose sections
+ Flush mount indicators (EBay special).

Modifications Planned.

+ UKDM Carburettors.
+ H model Sports Production or ZX4 model cams.
+ Goodridge braided brake hoses all round.
+ Respray in same colour scheme, but proper Kawasaki Lime Green.

but anyway nice bike, yeah shame about the virago, ahhh i used to have a nice 250 which just managed to bleed me dry... Some poor sod's got it now

No, but it did belong to CarneyUK, until May 1st!

As regards the yoke cover, I know not, it was on there when I bought it, but I do rather like it... Unsure about the hammeriting, it does have a somewhat dappled and dimpled texture to it, but I don't think it's Hammerite.

LOL! Not kidding, this bugger's cost my friend quite literally thousands to get into good shape. He part ex'd his XT 125 (iirc that was what he had) for it, and then oh boy, pounds after pounds. In good nick now though, and running very nicely, after all that money spent on it, I'd expect so!

that looks the dogs, nice job who ever did it.


hammerite smooth is quality paint for novices. i used it befor on ts50x + tzr 125 llooked ace would use dat paint again.

Praise goes to Carney, not that I've seen him on here of late - possibly something to do with having just sold his ZXR...

I'm still here, still jumping out of planes.....and still regretting selling the bike.

Master plan is get all my skydiving gear and licences this year, then save up some money and get a new ZXR400 next year!!
