this a road bike or a track bike mate ?
and, .. yes, if you want it done right it should be setup on a dyno after its built up

its a road bike. hmm im trying to think where i can get it set up properly. i dont think we have any dynos down in cornwall? just curious though how much extra power would i roughly gain from them both? cheers

can you explain the logic of running a filterless ram-air system on a road bike with a stock engine ?
the cams i can understand, but even then, to get the best out of them its a case of fitting them and then multiple dyno runs to get them dialled in to extract the best peak and preferred curve.. probably cost as much as the cams did ? (they the ones off ebay, i nearly bid on them) and even then they are only a smidge better than ZX4/H1 cams anyway.
Without skimming the head/block/raising compression, porting the inlets/matching the inlet rubbers, fitting a full system (beet/mhp) first I cant see the point.
at a guess the cams alone on a stock L engine will make you an extra 5hp if you are lucky, and the ram-air maybe the same + reduced engine life .. and the fact that it doesnt really do much till you are over 70mph anyway ,, (gains below this are not the "ram effect" just the "got a big free flowing airbox and properly setup carbs" effect.. which you can achieve by throwing the air filter in the bin and getting the carbs setup)
and you'll need a dyno with a fan driven off it to get the ram-air setup right too, or someone who REALLY knows what they are doing and has experience of zxr's with the AMS ramair.
sorry if this all sounds really negative just wouldn't want you to throw a pile of cash and time at the bike and end up with something that's not really any better than stock.

ahhh dear. well to be honest. what would you say would be the best modifiactions i can do to increase the power/top speed.. i have been speaking to this company from malaysia over the net, and the guy has done a Turbo ZXR 250. apparantly the ZXRs have good compression etc etc. would a Turbo be much use? but besides the Turbo what modifications would be best. cheers
