Is there any truth that if i remove the generator i will gain more power, is this total loss set up? Not too sure. If there is a gain could someone please guide me on how to do this.

Takeoff the generator casing, remove the windings from inside. Pull off (with a puller) the rotor and starter gear. Block off the oil way used to lube the starter, and I think you need to put the bolt back in the end of the crank.

If you want to keep the starter then you can just drill out the rivets and remove the magnet which is the heavy part. Highly recommended as it makes a massive difference in drive out of low speed corners.
