DAz,

You can balance them beautifully yourself with a £5.99 5m tube from B&Q.

Find the middle of the tube, bend it around a meter rule, tape it to the stick and put in 80W oil until each side has 30mm or so height from the bottom of the bend. Attach each loose end of the pipe to firstly carbs 1/2. Start up, which ever side rises most is sucking harder than the other. Adjust to correct. Now attach to carbs 3/4 and repeat. Then, attach to carbs 1/4 and balance with the middle adjuster. Hey presto - balanced carbs.

HTH.

balancing carbs wont sort out a running rich proplem......balancing just smoothes things out so all 4 carbs are working together.
running rich is more down to airleaks, jet size, float heights and needle heights
why do you think it is running rich?
