Bike Rebuild

Post by tomcuda »

I'm currently stripping down my L9 at the minute, to tidy it up and get the frame powder coated as its in a bit of a state. I was just wondering if there is anything I should be looking to do with the engine while its out, its done 18000 miles, any advice would be muchos appreciated

yeah id go with what lewis said. Main things i would do would be head gasket (£20), cam chain (20), valve clearances (£3/4 a shim if needed ?) and possibly cam chain guides.

Its all easier to do with the engine out of the frame, only other thing you could possibly service is the clutch which is easily done with the engine in :)
