I had a overheating problem which caused the head gasket to go. i replaced that and now its over heating
again . so i removed rad to check it was ok and i have discovered loads of bent fins. i have sorted those but
i have a area the size of a tennis ball where all the fins have completely crushed in and will need to be removed.
The rad does not leak but how much damage to fins is exceptable ? please help

I would guess you have a gumbd up system
A few/lot of cooling fins bent over wouldnt make that big a difference imho
Flush the system a few times with the proper cleaner
Just a thought maybe your thermostat is u s

Re: RADIATOR FINS HELP PLEASE
Do one thing at a time then you know what the problem was
I would do a couple of flushes first
