Hi all,
I was cleaning my carbs out yesterday and a ball bearing fell out from somewhere, does anyone happen to know where this goes? I have had a look at the workshop manuals, but couldn't see anything on the assembly diagrams.
Any help would be appreciated,
Jordan

Thanks for the reply. Well I'm half way through the set of 4 now and only 1 has fell out. I'll let you know if any come out of the other 2!

Re: Carb assembly - Ball bearing
there shouldnt be a ball bearing in the carb at all, the only thing i can think of is one of the very small cylinders that goes in part of the rubber of the diaphragm?
if its a spherical ball bearing, bin it, it should not be there!

All carbs now cleaned and only 1 fell out - Guess it wasn't supposed to be there! Which leaves me wondering how it did get in there!...
Thanks for the help

Re: Carb assembly - Ball bearing
More than likely a foreign object dropped in when a previous owner was working on it (possibly while changing the headrace bearings if they are the ball bearing type?) as they are close to the carbs.JPNS wrote:All carbs now cleaned and only 1 fell out - Guess it wasn't supposed to be there! May possibly be worth just checking your headrace bearings on it atm in case they have chucked a ball bearing out

Ball bearings in the headset - what do you think it is, a pushbike?ChowderV4 wrote:

And if your headset is 'close to the carbs' I suggest you've got your engine in back to front.
