Radiator repair

Post by jaz »

Hi people, hope someone could help.. I had steam coming from my rad a while back so I took the bike off the road thinking I needed a new radiator, came back to it the other week and got it running again expecting the problem to be there but nothing? :smt017 Could the colder weather have sealed a leak closed or is that silly? and mabye if i stuck some radweld in whilst its ok might that sort it?

thanks

What happens when water hits a hot surface?

Was it damp out side?
Is there not such a thing as condensation?

If your rad was leaking there would be a puddle of coolant under the bike.

Water could easily be sitting on the rad the day after it had rained, just because water is not coming from the sky doesn't mean the rad can't still have water on it
