Re: Recent Road Races
I enjoyed Southern100 but for the weather
Wet practice and with low sun in first 400 race, but the last 2 days were great
Loved the circuit and learn't a lot which should help next year

Yup, Mon/Tues weren't much fun but time on track Wed/Thu was fun. Could be a two day meeting.
See you both again in a couple of weeks at Armoy.

Just looking at ferries etc for the Ulster/Dundrod. Anyone know how busy the paddock gets? looking to come across on the Tue afternoon and head back the Sunday morning. Also any idea of gearing? Standard ZXR gearbox?

Re: Recent Road Races
a lot of the big crews start coming into the paddock on Sunday but that is for the teams in the main paddock. There is another behind this one but it also fills up fairly quickly. You will get a place somewhere.
Gearing is much the same at S100 - start with that.
You will love Dundrod - its mega ... not many bumpy bits and fast flowing corners.

Don't say that, am getting questions asked as to why haven't done Dundrod.
Maybe next year?

Just as well you didnt come over for UGP this year. On Thursday are the Dundrod 150 races and of the FIVE races only the Superbike race was actually run!! This was due to a number of reasons, 5 practice sessions, red flags, TV interview, Guy Martin doing a lap in the car for MCN, which all resulted in the first race, Dundrod 150 National starting at around 6.30pm. We only got 1/2 a lap before red flag was out. We were brought back to holding area and the Superbikes were run, which ended with another red flag. Due to it being almost 8pm the racing was ended at that point, so riders in the 4 classes didnt get out. Dundrod National; Lwt/ult lwt; Challenge and Supertwins. That was that! So sad, too bad.
At least the Lwt and Supertwins got out for their races in the UGP races on Sat, the weather was good and the racing was sharp.
Although a very sad end to the day was the death of Andy Lawson in the Supersport race. RIP Andy.

Hi Yvonne
Sorry to hear that you didn't get much racing in. Seems to be the norm at the moment, everyone but the Superbike boys get short changed? Talking of which I have written to Armoy Club about the over subscribbing problem.
Was very sad to hear about Andy.
Are you out at Killalane?
Cheers

Re: Recent Road Races
Yes catch up with you at Killalane.
Quite right about Armoy. The COC's attitude of everyone will get a race only holds up if you have one entry. Those with 2 or 3 entries that only get one race means that 'one' race can cost an enty of £140 or £210. Sounds like a money maker to me.

Hi
Yes they took over £2,600 in race entry fee's for places that weren't on the grid, doesn't seem fair to me? That was just in Supertwins / Jnr Support class, and am sure we weren't the only classes effected.
See you there, and good luck to Cargo at Manx.
Cheers
