So iv'e finally got round to starting work on my ZXR400, and I have the opportunity to start afresh.
The bike was rattle can blue when I got it, and I got factory red/ black fairings when I crashed it, but I would like to put it back to its original paint scheme, the trouble is I can't seem to find any clues by the VIN number, is there any other way I can find out?
Cheers
Aidan

Re: Finding out my original paint colour
v5 should show the original colour from the manufacturer, if you know the year we can narrow it down to an exact colour scheme.
L1-L2 are one scheme, L3 is a little different, L4-L8 different again, and then L9 onwards. There are green and there are purple colour schemes as standard.
L1/2 have the blue triangle at the front

L3 replace that with a swish

L4-L8 its swishes all round

and L9 have a different style and colour swish
