Best approach for front calipers bleeding

Post by Kevh1070 »

Hi all, just stripped & rebuilt front & rear calipers on L3 model. What's the best approach on bleeding front set to get a decent result please as currently lever is like squeezing a jelly & frankly no bloody use
Any help greatly received, thanks in advance

Full left lock, this keeps the m/c raised and at an angle to get all the air out.

then pump until hard, keep lever pressed, loosen off nipple, tighten nipple.

rinse and repeat.

You need to use a vacuum bleeder, or reverse bleeding where you inject liquid from the nipple, into the calliper, up the line, past the MC into the reservoir

I've never used a vacuum bleeder or reverse bleeding.

Never had a problem.

Imo I've found that the traditional method works for most but a few have had to resort to vacuum bleeding.

I always had great results with the normal way but got a vacuum bleeder from Santa one year so have always just used it

Thanks all for the input, going to opt for the pressure bleeder & not beat around the bush with it.
