Help with splitted case
Hello I have a problem with my zxr 400 L5 case it seems that I can' fit the case back in original form I mean that I splitted the case yesterday for changing the pistons and now I can't put it back together i've tried everything and I can't fit it good like before I will post pics later

I just taked off the pistons and changed them and now I cant fit it one of the sides are open between 5-10mm ive tried to tight the case with the bolts but no result

Firstly there should have been no need to split the cases to change the pistons or rings.
If they are not closing then something must be in the way, most likely suspect is gearbox/selector forks etc, have you taken a torch and looked around the edges, also does everything look flush and like it will go back together if you look at the two crankcase Half's?

Also, don't try and force the cases together, if there is a gap then they are not correctly seated, all you will do by forcing them is damage something expensive...
