So, 20 years after buying my first race bike as a road going blue ZXR400L,and converting it to race,I've bought another to race. This time, a well sorted RMKD spec racebike, ready-ish to go.
And I'm picking a second bike up on Tuesday too,to use as a donor bike. Its partly restored, partly rebuilt, but mainly all there. I'll be taking what in need and breaking the rest in the next few weeks.
Great to be back on a ZXR400. I've got a FZR4003TJ with a 600 thundercat in it,that I've just sold to a mate.
Plans are, since I last raced in 2013, to get out as much as possible next season, as funds allow, and poss do the Ulster GP as will be there anyway with my nephew that races 600/1000.
Things have moved on a little since I last owned one, but lots has remained very similar. My nephew successfully raced a ZXR too, with Thundersport amongst other clubs, before going to BSB and road racing.
I'll post the bike I'm breaking soon, and in the mean time, good to be back
Paul
