So this is the bottom of a zxr750 1991 J1 model airbox. The right hand spout which is plugged off, was where the drain tube would be. Apparently its fine to plug them off, it does not affect performance of hurt the bike
But, what on earth is the hole directly on the bottom for? Is it meant to be plugged or can i leave it open. Not sure if correct pipe is on the bike or not, as i havent really had a good look. When i bought the bike, the airbox was already removed to clean carbs

Crank breather, though it looks a bit wide for that?
Some kind of ram air/pressurisation system?
Egr valve, or California emissions breather?
When you mount the airbox is it very close to anything?

I've a suspicion it goes onto the hole in this picture. This is the lower part of the engine which the airbox would sit right above

I'm guessing that there will be a rubber grommet that fits to the airbox, then you press that over the crankcase breather (that's the bit with your arrow)
That's the same way my zxr250r does it too...

Thanks. Have looked at an exploded parts diagram, and it shows a pipe going to tha hole on the bottom of the airbox, with a plug in the end of the pipe.
