won't let me rev

when i first start the bike every time i touch the accelerator the engine cuts out. any ideas?

one other thing when i start riding the rev counter needle starts flicking around then the bike cuts out.

I think thats a dead battery mate, a member on here had the same problem last year, turned out to be a shagged battery i think.

check choke isnt stuck either i ahd that problem once.
