Well, it was delivered today

Post by tng21 »

FInally got meself a bike so im happy today. went out and bought a bashy and won a leather coat on ebay.

one had one problem today and that was it wouldnt start, but thats my fault as i hadnt turned on the petrol. SO i ran the carbs dry and took me ages to sort it after flatening the battery trying to turn it over soo much to get the petrol into the carbs etc.

but im happy with it now, ran fine when we changed the battery from my friends bike so battery has gone on charge.

Love the colour.
I had a ZXR750H1 years ago and I painted it the exact same colour but I had pink graphics and the wheels wre done pink as well.

Thats an H1, braced swingarm init.

Any bike can look good with a powder coat and a fresh lick of paint.

Age isn't a major factor.. :smt003

well to answer a few questions............

£850 is what it cost me, and £75 to have it delivered.

It is a H1 with the braced swingarm aparently.

Dunno how long the bloke had it before sellin it to me, i think a year or two, but it was the owner before that that had it painted so its lasted well. Middle of wheels powder coated while the rims are polished ( need redoing though as they oxidizing )

My friend said the hoover pipes look too long too so they could well be the L model ones mentioned. I dunno lol.

I also dont like the 400 stickers. I want to get rid of all the stickers that say 400 and the ninja sticker on the rear, think it looks a bit tacky but not sure if i should pull em off coz i dont know if it will mess the paint.

Ive just been to my parents house to nick the digi vid cam so will get some vid today if i can before it rains.

Just gotta get me some gloves and leather trousers and boots now and im done. managed to get this bashy from tinklers yesturday, scroll down to the blue one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... &rd=1&rd=1
and i got this jacket off ebay which i thought was a bargain

Oh and do my test of course lol

To take the stickers off, use a hair dryer set to hot to warm them up first them peel back. Shouldnt leave any residue either, but if it does just a bit of white spirit will take it off.
