i believe a magazine got one to 142 once but the factory claim is 139 or thereabouts?

no idea how much that goes up if you tune. I guess the only people likely to know would be the racers, but i think they all use low gearing anyway for uk circuits.

had comfortable 115mph down the motorway, never taken up more than 120mph, but u can tell it wanted to go for more. standard exhaust system and standard setup.

Interesting one this.

My Ducati 750ss was fuel injected and about 65 hp. That would pull to 145 ish.

The ZXR felt like it had plenty left at 110, yet its only about 62 hp (mine is anyway).

I would imagine 140 is a reasonable figure.

Interesting factoid, 145 on the Duke was 7600 rpm!

158 mph on the de-restricted ZZR1100 is about 7600 rpm.

Redline is 11, 000 iirc. :smt005

In 7 weeks or so I'll have my ZXR on the IOM at the Manx GP.
There will be a very accurate speed trap on a long fast straight.
I'll report back what mine can do

Mines got a race can on an that. to be fair its got all the evidence of bein a track bike maybe its been tinkered with to increase acceleration at the cost of top end then or somet if yours does 140 cos mine werent goin there at all.

see the 33hp restriction is bullocks coz apart from f***ing up ur engine wot good does it actually do, a standarad zxr will do 130, 140 and if ur restricted zxr will 120 mph then wots the purpose of it!!?? total bo**ocks if u ask me.

yer youll feel a big difference when they come out coz when you have them in you cant feel the acceleration in the high revs.
