Long time no see....

Post by Boonie »

Hi all. It's probably been nearly a year since I was last on here. How is everyone? Will try to catch up on the forum, but after a year there a fair few posts to read. :smt120 Like the new forum Baz. (Geez I have been away for ages.)

I've not been entirely lazy in my absence. I have complete stripped my ZXR when I've had the chance to get in the garage... engine out, the works. Then reassembled it with new head bearings, just to see if I could. Still working on making it my track bike. I have been talking to the nice people at AMS Motorsport and purchased a ram air system with the new 2007 nose. Had some paint mixed at Halfords and sprayed myself, then decided to do the bike (had the can the wrong way round... idiot). In the process of fitting a ZX9R B1 5.5" rear wheel as it uses the same cush drive, and sprocket carrier. :smt003 Only thing to get sorted is the fact that the rearspindle needs some spacers to fit the wheel, and the brake caliper hanger will need machining. Can always buy a spare from AMS if it all goes horribly wrong.

Baz, can you reset my gallery id as well please. Should be the same username I think? Then I'll upload the pictures I have.

Look forward to hearing from you all.

:smt003

Oh yeah.. I got engged as well. :smt003 LMAO!

Cheers bud. All I need to complete this now are a few minor bits, the exhaust including downpipes as mine were rusted right though, get my radiator back from Sootys Customs in Milton Keynes (he's sealing he ends where I had to chop a section out for the ram air system), and get some slick tyres which I should be able to get from my friend Jim. :smt119

Then build the rear end, and all before September 3rd as I am booked on track day for the full Silverstone GP curcuit. :smt100

Time is running out. :smt009
