Was wondering what you all thought of the Cyclone C11 alarm.

I need one soon. I looked at the cyclone but the fob is metal and looks huge. If you get one let me know how the fob actually is Oli. Cheers

I have an alarm, but personally dont see the point in them. They dont stop bikes being nicked as the theives just lift them into a van. it's so common to hear alarms going off people just ignore them
I have a cat 1 alarm and all that it does is cause me trouble

PS - im having a bad day :P

alarms i understand on a bike because if your parked in a public place its sure to dur a few glances

even if it makes it 10% less likly to be stolen surly thats worth £30 ;)

Id spend your money on getting one of those xena disc lock alarms. very sensitive and it has the added advantage of being a) insurance approved so gives you discount and b) stops your bike being rolled away.

just be 2p worth

my alarm played up whilst i was away, i couldnt turn it off. So i was sitting on the bike, rolling it down the hill to get it out of the way and all the time the alarm was going off. No one so much as even looked at me. Hence the reason I am somewhat sceptical :P

I plan to make a good immobiliser out of the cyclone. I have been on the hunt for a cheap alarm which has a relay in it which goes closed circuit when the alarm is disarmed. The cyclone has this. I plan to use that to drive two other relays and immobilse the cdi and fuel pump at the touch of the arm button. I don't want the siren so won't connect it, and the movemend sensor I will turn off, or bypass. How big is the cyclone fob rene? Dims terms. Thanks

about 5cm wide then it goes in like a triangel so not that big, you really dont notice it!

plus its got a purple light on the job that comes in handy when its dark!
