Re: Restrictor kits question
a mate got one fitted to his bike. as far as i know to get the certificate, its got to be fitted by a garage or somone qualified to issue them out. you could ask if a dyno printout would suffice then you could fit them yourself. personally i never had an insurance company ask me for one and i dont know anyone else that has. but they could get funny about it if you had to claim.
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...

Re: Restrictor kits question
luckily i had mine with my bike. Its got the certificate stating 33bhp and overleaf im sure its got the garage that fitted it etc, although i dont see why a dyno printout wouldnt do it. It will cost u around the £200 mark to get it restricted by a garage. If you want i can get the measurements from my restictors? cos they aint fitted atm.

Re: Restrictor kits question
Ive read somewhere that the certificate isnt a legal requirement, how true that is i dont know. I dont know anyone who has been asked for restriction certificate by thier insurance, i didnt get asked for mine when i had an accident by either the police or my insurance company. But i sent it to the insurance company anyway, and even then they didnt phone up asking what it was for.
