Hello deer bye bye bike

Post by Fodsy »

Yes merely one year after getting my lovely ZXR, mother nature decided it needed to be destroyed. It was on May 13th when I was riding back from Thetford, Norfolk to Norwich, Norfolk along the A11 Duel Carrigeway at around 70mph when two lovely deer decided to cross right in front of me. A nice trip through the air and couple of rolls along the tarmac had caused two broken arms, a shattered wrist and a bike that had seen better days.

The front fairing of the bike was smashed in a instant and I broke the right handlebar off in the intial impact with my hand (causing the shattered wrist), luckily though mechanically the bike still starts and sounds ok but tbh I can't see myself repairing this one. I'll get as much as I can off the bike and I'll post up in the classified's all the stuff that can go. I would of written about all this sooner but i only got the casts off today biggrin

I'll get some pics up of the mess shortly. Hope you all enjoy the nice weather while I slum indoor's wishing I was out instead.

Bloody hell!

That's one of those totally random things you can't do anything about, so I bet you'll have The Fear big-time when you get back on a bike! (hope you are??)

And I hope you at least made a right old mess of the deer, too? :smt013
