Re: Problem already.
Can I e-mail you the picture please. I'm buggered if I can work out all this url business.
I did manage to get the photo of the digi camera with no help from my missus, which is a giant leap for Brettkind.

Re: Problem already.
Just e-mailed photo.
This morning I checked the oil. It seemed ok. Went to the gym and back(2 miles). Later there was no oil? Ran the engine for 2 mins, checked it again, still no oil. Leaned the bike towards me and just saw a little through the glass at the bottom. Topped it up and then went for a quick ride, when I got back there was far too much oil? Did I check it wrong? Also, the gasket can't be leaking that badly if it is the gasket as theres only a very small amount on the fairing. It seems to be collecting around the small bolt(see photo) so that may be the culprit.

Re: Problem already.
nothing to worry about, looks like its leaking from the camlink oil feed, whip the bolt out and reseal it.

Re: Problem already.
you should leave it for a day or 2 to accuratley check the oil cos onece you hit the starter it goes round the bike and takes time to settle back down.
Remember speed kills, so does smoking, drinking, drugs, fast food and many more good things

Re: Problem already.
Really? seems a bit extreme, is that cos it's oil cooled?

Re: Problem already.
maybe not quite as long as a day or 2,
But make sure you are on level ground etc, and yes once you've started the bike oil gets thrown around lubing everything up. Then when stopped it takes a little while to all filter back down to the sump. If the bike has got nice and warm then it shouldn't take too long for an accurate reading to be taken.

are you having a laugh? 5 or 10 mins after the engine has been running is more than enough time for it to have settled to a readable level.superman wrote:you should leave it for a day or 2 to accuratley check the oil cos onece you hit the starter it goes round the bike and takes time to settle back down.

Re: Problem already.
Bike back from mechanics. You where right Baz, it was that bolt. He said I'll need a new chain and sprockets and new front pads, apart from that the bike is sweet. Could have done the bolt myself, but the weather is just too bad here.

Re: Problem already.
don't know how too. Please don't tell me to read the post pics thread, I've tried. I need a step by step idiot proof guide.I'm 36 and have a somewhat pickled mind over the years, that makes it very hard to learn stuff. As well as this all I've ever used the comp for is to e-mail, write letters etc at my old job and obviously look at porn. I'm just being ignorant and lazy now, I'll try again. How do I find the url thing on photos I've got saved in my pictures?
