looks bad, but as you say, the pins dont move when the engine's running so it shouldn't actually do any harm.

cant wait to be finished moving van loads of tat across Wales and get cracking on mine

De-Coking

doesn't mean "I'm off" the Columbian marching powder either :smt002

I let the parts cleaner solution sit for 12hrs in the exhaust ports and hey presto most of it had dissolved and what's left easily falls off when picked at with a screwdriver :smt001
This will save the grinding stone getting fouled up and speed the job along.

Have also been trying out stove paint I have to see what it's going to look like, happy with the appearance just need to get a bigger brush for a smoother finish. This will aid the block to dissipate heat quicker and come cleaning time the dirt should fall off. I've been preparing the SP motor for this to get applied and until the bling side casings arrive I'll paint the originals Gloss black.

Hoping by next weekend I'll have the head finished so before removing the H2 engine from bike I'll bolt this on and give it a test run on a known working set-up. Then I can start all over again with the H2 head getting it ready for th SP engine - nice thing about having spare motors is you don't need to leave your bike in a non running state :smt001

Current state of play

As I've been waiting for the rotary drill to cool down I've been going round the cast lines with my file , leave my signature on it so to speak :smt003

Would hate to think what it would cost you to airmail it here shocking

But sea mail should be cheap, a return 10kg package would be 6,750 yen for me so around £53 just now :smt009
EcoAir is double that and I know UK postage is double the rate of here so sea mail for you would be around £100 maybe !!

Just looked it up:
Royal Mail
Service Delivery Compensation Tracking Price
International Datapost From 3 days Up to £150 Tracked From £132.49
Global Priority From 4 days Up to £150 Tracked From £116.99
International Standard From 7 days Up to £150 Not Tracked From £109.99
International Economy From 40 days - Not Tracked From £91.49
