My Dog - a bikers best mate

Post by Davw »

Last Thursday night a couple (at least 2 according to the police) "low lives" turned up with power tools, screwdrivers and various other breaker bars etc and made a very solid effort at breaking into garage :smt013 . Given that I had covred all windows with marine ply, blocked the rear door, upgraded the main doors and improved lockes etc this was a bit of a surprise. They also had a go at breaking into the race trailer. I was away frm home but according to the wife the dog went nuts about 11:00pm and shot off down the garden. Wife was busy watchin telly and thought the dog (who is getting on a bit and increasingly grumpy) was just letting of a bit of steam. Next mornig she was a bit surprised to find marine ply all over the garden, various tools and breaker bars scattered around the place (none of them mine). They had broken glass to windows (having drilled and prised off the ply) but hadnt managed to get in the garage - seems Megan the aging cocker spaniel sorted it :smt003

Dog has been enjoying double rations since and I am off on a further round of security improvements - more lights, fully fledged alarm system - thinking of a web searchable videocam although that might be a bit OTT.

It is a constant battle against these scum.

We should be able to protect our houses and garages with 10.000 volts direct current :D

That wud keep the feckers away from our bikes n other belongings.

If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

I think its the credit crunch confuddled

Hang on it can't be cuz they dont pay for anything :smt012

I think because of the credit crunch they get bored easier so think: lets go steal sum sexy shiny zxr400's :smt010

I think that if sumones trying to steal your belongings you should be allowed to take any action necessary to stop them.

I may have to look into what repercussions of shocking sumone with 10,00 volts would have for me :p

Yeah but u have to use them along with the buses and cyclists.

Yeah definitely mate, at the end of the day your acting to stop a crime so the fact that u snap the feckers legs should not count as a crime,

there was a story a while ago in the papers where a thief who was fleeing from a house after being caught when the owners returned home slipped in the kitchen and fell onto a kitchen knife, HE ACTUALLY GO COMPENSATION! :smt013 :smt013 #

What is wrong with this country?

its all fecked up mate, listen to this yer, i live on a shitty estate fair enough, my bikes round the mother in laws at the mo but when i get it on the road i wanna be usin it everyday in the summer and its too much hassle goin roun there every mornin etc so i thought id bring it home when im usin it and chain it up outside, well i know a pikey kid well he is alright as it happens, he turned round and said dont take it home, it will go, no matter what locks etc u put on it they will take it, now i live in a block of flats so i aint got a garden etc so im really fecked off now, im glad he has warned me but wat the f*** do i do? now i have to keep it at the mother in laws and use it every now and again instead of for work, its become a liability

Its ridiculous how its come to not sleeping at night because ur bike might get knicked off the drive.

Most of my mates live in dodgy areas like moss side, gorton, levenshulme etc and if im ever going down there they just tell me to get the bus because my bike WILL get nicked no matter what i chain it to. I was meeting a mate in bolton the other day and i chained it to a huge lamp post and he was like: are u sure it aint gonna get nicked? I was confident it wouldn't with it having a decent chain and being in the middle of the busy town centre but he just kept asking if i wanted to go check my bike was still there.

When i fill up for petrol im always on edge watching my bike in case any whit van men seize the opportunity to make off with a bike quickly.

It really is just appaling what todays society has become im 17 years old and i wouldn't even dream of stealing somebodies belongings its just not right! yet other kids my age think its fun and go round bragging about it!

you need 1 of them expensive bike locks that cant be cut by anything. or will take a darn long time with the correct tools.
just remember DO NOT LOOSE THE KEYS lol
tie that to a lampost, then they will have to cut the post to get yer bike thus the shock of cutting the wires will leave the thief with a hairstyle like a poodle, and possibly a compensation claim lol.
Remember speed kills, so does smoking, drinking, drugs, fast food and many more good things
