i wouldn't use 'em. They seem to consider zxr's too old to be worth bothering about. They told me to trade mine in for.... wait for it.... a CG125! :pmsl

Yes. I wanted a tail tidy or something, can't really remember but the sales assistant just laughed and told me "it isn't 1994 ya know"

Just seen this as a new member of the forum.

Totally agree that CX powersports was a shambles.. I grew up in Clay Cross and loved looking at the bikes in the windows at CX Kawasaki. As i got older i became a customer.

When it moved to the main road A61 it lost some of its character and customer friendliness. Then it was sold to a BMW dealer and they completely cocked it up leaving it to close down..

Over the last few years the old building has become CMC and the Feltham family have made it their own and a great place to visit. (Its just a shame they are a Yamaha dealership...). They make a massive effort with open days and celebrity visits.

Another Kawasaki dealer has now opened over the road from CMC and taken the CX Kawasaki name ... Which is great.
Here's a pic from this summer of one of my ARs out the front. Not been there on my ZXR yet.

Absolutely love the AR125, still look good, in my AR80 days i seriously wanted one of these, assuming you rebuild ARs you wouldn't happen to have a crank oil pump drive pin from an A1 AR80????

Nice bike, jealous as a very jealous thing :smt023

Thanks Kwakkwak
Will have a look in the shed at the weekend, but most of my stuff is 125 related.

Here's a pic of my AR80 with one of the 125s.. I know its not an early model but its one of the models I first had on the road :o)

Your AR collection is mighty fine, I am most impressed, the Mrs has already told me NOT to be buying one of your lovely 125s :smt010

Here's my A1 at present :pmsl

I've tried an AR80C7 and an AR50C6 oil pump drive pin, all bloody different, so she is off to an engineer, not an area for a bodge.

Hey kwakkwak Did you get the AR80 oil
Pump pin sorted in the end?

I've found some part numbers recently for the oil pump and tachometer drives that are shown in the parts book but not listed for sale separately

If you let me have part number for the bit your after I will see what I can do :)

Got a quality pin from an engineering firm, cheers. Will be starting her soon, sitting in the garage all primed to go, can't get any pressure into the front brake, replaced everything and about to go mad with it, I know the little calipers can be difficult, but this is ridiculous. :smt010

Don't know if this will help (you may have already tried this...)
But air sometimes collects after the master cylinder in the pipe and you can't force it down the pipe to the calliper to bleed it properly. If you loosen the connector in between the pipe and the master cylinder and bleed the 'joint' it sometimes works.

Good luck winks
