Re: H1 resurrection.
standard carbs (well, big jets and dynojet needles) and standard airbox, i havent touched the ports yet (got a spare head to attack over the winter)
quick spec;
squish tightened up .2mm (no base gasket)
minimal skim of the head
inlet stubs matched to ports
beet exhaust
snorkel removed from airbox
pipercross filter (dry)
#105 main jets
dynojet needles on 3rd clip from top
slotted ignition pickup (extra few degree's base advance)
ignitech ignition with F3 kit advance curve + 15,200rpm limiter
minimal race loom to take L cdi (or above)
SP cams (not dialled in)
H2 radiator
oil cooler ditched and sump blanked with 3mm 6082 ally plates
was making 65bhp ish with stiff road chain and knackered tyres before the SP cams/ignition/port matching/needles/loom/etc .. so i reckon low 70's isnt too unrealistic an estimate of what its doing now.
L shock, H-SP spring
reworked forks (i suspect, but god knows what spec, or by who)
cut down brackets/clocks/stuff
quick release fuel coupling
all new chassis bearings
stock rearsets
non o-ring race chain
renthal sprockets
lots of stainless bolts
many things removed and thrown away
handlings not great tbh.. not really sure whats up with it .. im gonna get it taxed and try and get a few road miles done to get it setup a bit
but yeh, it wasnt the slowest bike on track last time.. should actually be competitive now.. the midrange is bonkers.. and its finally got some topend

Re: H1 resurrection.
Need to do something with my suspension, it wants to tuck under before ive even run out of ground clearance! Nearly lost it in today esapades, the front actually lost grip, i slid along for about a metre when the front gripped and i managed to make it round the roundabout. But for that brief second i thought that was it, 2.5K of money sliding down the road........
Would love to go mate, bit far tho, and i think im seeing the GF that wwekend too. Let me know if your at brands, thats only up the road from me.

Re: H1 resurrection.
try a 120/70/17 front tyre, i ran off the edge of my 120/60/17 at pembrey at about 100mph.. similar thing.. just pushed a bit whilst shitting myself and then it hooked up and carried on.. hadnt reached the edge of my rear tyre either !
look at some of your pics from today and you'll see how nearly off your front tyre you are.. infact your rear tyre looks too soft n all judging by how much its deforming under load.
wont be at brands this year.. oulton this weekend then thats it till spring.. cept maybe for a couple of trackdays if i havent gone snowboarding.

Re: H1 resurrection.
Pressures are right as far as i know, i only put air in a few weeks ago think ill check them again. The tyres them selves are 3 years old now, did 250 miles on em then it sat for 3 years while at uni so perhaps they have gone off. The front was well chewed up round the edge but the rear doesnt seem to be as near the edge tho as you say with yours.
Wont take long for these to squareoff/wear out but gonna try viper sports next and will try 120/17/17.

Re: H1 resurrection.
if going out for a hoon i used to check my tyres just before going, if they are way off they can ruin the ride and it takes seconds to check them.

Re: H1 resurrection.
sounds good zimm. lookin forward to oulton?
Im gonna tempt the gods, and say the weather looks good for next weekend!
We got my clutch workin, it was them springs after all. Those shorter springs where what i ordered for a h2, when i think the clutch was from a L..im surprised it got as far as it did.
half of them ebc kevlars where goosed as where some of my steels.. so measured all my spare ones and mixed em up. did'nt slip on the dyno, so ive got me fingers crossed for satday.
rob, ive heard of lots of people having probs with the 60 profile.I also had probs with my front when i dropped the front too much, about the same as yours by the looks but i also raised the rear as far as it would go.... it would run wide on the power out of corners, cured by raising the forks up again.I dont understand why tbh, but i would deffo go for a 70 tyre and maybe a bit less thru the yokes. have you got it up at the rear to?

Re: H1 resurrection.
Now i think about it it did seem to run wide actually. Rear end is set at standard.
Something i need to do actually is check that they are both on the same settings since i had the seals done, preload looks ok, not sure about damping. Might try bringing them back through as you suggested then.

Re: H1 resurrection.
quick update,
the bike has been completely stripped, frame, swingarm and subframe painted,
new chassis bearings,
lightweight rear disc,
ebc prolite race discs
titanium disc bolts
nitron race rear shock
lightweight race chain
woodcraft clipons
RSD rearsets
RSD crash bungs
ramair system
and the engine's in bits getting some attention to the head
still to do,
bodywork (still held together with gaffa tape)
lightweight brackets (need a tig welder)
forks (maxton conversion)
