New engine is in the garage, tapered steel caged roller-bearings on their way to replace the plastic caged 6208s in the gearbox.
Bigger turbo (Pulsar GTiR T28 unit, .64AR inlet housing, good for roughly 350bhp) end of next month, 20" x 15" Double pass stainless FMIC going on when I put it back together, 319 stainless boost pipes, possibly electroplated with chromium (to reflect heat and avoid heatsoak and help keep crown temps futher down).
Konis going on when I rebuild, along with a handful of polybushes, induction routed with stainless and silicone down into the left bumper cavity for a neutrally drawn cool air feed Modified crash bar and engine mount on standby to accommodate the larger turbo. Haven't thought about dump valve yet. Only option with a T28 is atmospheric, so I can't reuse the recirculating dv, but it's merely a matter of choice of dump valves, really. Whichever has the least squeaky blow off I guess will be my choice.
