I had a letter in the post a few weeks ago, stating that it had been decided i should do a "Rider Improvement Course" as a result of my accident. Fair enough i thought, only the course is done in a car?? Anyway, i mulled it over for a week wondering whether it was worth going to court, but decided as i'd not had the best of luck lately i might end up coming off even worse, so i dug around and managed to scrape toigether the £160 that it costs to do this "course". I jumped on the net, logged in the site and checked course dates. After waiting 2 weeks, ive heard nothing about what date i'm doing it and wear i send the money. I rang the number today to see what they playing at (it's got to be done by the 27th November or i go to court), it turns out i'm not booked on the course?? So, after giving the (un)helpful women on the phone my details, i ask why it had picked up that i had not been registered on line, the reply "Oh, ermm........ erm... there may have been a problem with the computers?? the next available date is the 30th December" Oh, great, cheers, that realy fucking helps me don't it! "I'll see if i can get an extension for you, i'll contact you A.S.A.P" Not heard a fucking been from them yet, someone is getting there ear bent tomorrow. Role on 2010, i'm definately overdue some good luck for once!!

That can't be right? If that happened to me, and I've only got a bike license, what happens then? That's making me build up a rant just thinking about it!! :smt013

I'd phone up the court and ask if your going to be doing the course in a vehicle that's irrelevant to your incident could it be a Tank

I had to do one of these in worcestershire a few years ago ... used my bike (de-restricted tzr125.. lol) and enjoyed a full day's one to one tuition from a bike cop as i was the only biker there.

I thought about asking if i can do it on my bike, but it says in the paper work they supply the car??

Fianlly managed to get an answer out of someone today, it's been like comunicating with a brick wall!! The summons is in the post
On a happier note, some more progress has been made with the bike, all be it small progress, managed to polish the rear wheel and sort out tail tidy and rear indicators, for a nice sum of £0, was given rear indicators and have used the tail tidy from my old bike , gota love recycling!!

Went to court today, to try and sort this mess out and i've managed to convince them to just let me do the course. It was a ball ache mind, had to be there at 9:30, fair enough, but my case wasnt heard untill 3:00pm!!!! Utter piss take, but i managed to convince them that points etc wouldnt be necessary, to be fair the prosecution she fought i'd have a good case to get it completely overturned and maybe even get the other guy prosecuted, but to be fair, i'll just be glad that when the course is done it'll be put to bed it's been doing my head in these past months and you never know, i might learn swomething from the course, so it wont be in vane then!!
