1989 ZXR400 or What

Hi All,

New to this forum, I have just got my self a winter project, it is an imported ZXR400 on an F Plate. (£100) VIN chassis number is: ZX400G-007152 on the V5 Doc.

It has not been started / run for years and the engine has a hole in its casing at the front, I am trying to identify the exact model i.e, H, H1, H2 bla bla.

It is the model that had the front indicators integrated within the fairing, I am looking for an engine block for this and wondered if anyone can tell me if any ZXR400 H models would be the same?

hi,

sounds like you have a ZX-4 rather than a ZXR-400

engines are the same, most of the rest differs.

Many thanks for the prompt reply.

On the engine casing at the left hand side of the bike as you sit on it, it say "ZXR".

Also it has a single squarish head light unit at the moment, can this be converted to a twin round lights?.

pretty sure its a zx400 G model, different to the zxrs. do you have any pics of it?

Yeap, That is it, only I should say it looks nothing like that at the moment...BUT it will be restored.

I should look at the gallery pics to get some ideas as to what to do wiht it.
