Who says RIDING in snow is dangerous
Finished work at 11 last night, managed to ride home which was quite interesting...... then dislocated my knee pushing my bike up the drive. FFS!

yes, i may have said something like that.
Thing was, it wasn't actually the snow. I planted my feet and started pushing and felt my knee cap move round the side of my leg

Re: Who says RIDING in snow is dangerous
cheers. i'll see what they say on friday.

It didn't really hurt that much until i tried to bend my leg and it moved back where it should be. REALLY hurt then...
I was anticipating slipping on ice and falling on my ass so i'd left the side stand down lucklyJamz wrote:Ouch! Did you manage to keep the bike upright???

Here here.
I dislocated a ladies' kneecap while playing rugby last year. She got air-ambulanced away.
Tackled, and Squeeeezed, and the kneecap popped round the side.
It must have hurt. I'd say keep it raised and put some ice on it, but if you fell on your ass, you probably tried that already ..?

well, after writhing around on the floor for several minutes i phoned the house phone and asked for some assistance... got back from hospital at 4.30 am with a splint and some crutches. Gotta go back for physio next week
