Gasket, Air Fil ???

Post by Miles »

Hello, Asked Cradleys to send me the gasket between the carb and the airbox (Large rectangle looking one). Instead received 4 large o-ring shaped gaskets labeled , GASKET, AIR FIL Part No. 11060 - 1139

Are these the o-rings that sit under the inlet rubbers? does anyone know?

The one your after is here

However it's marked as part number 11060-1139 which is what you already have......................must be a mistake somewhere

Yes I thought so as well. The guy on the phone even said "Yes thats the large rectangle shaped one between the carbs and airbox" So I wonder if I have the wrong sticker on these gaskets.

According to the MF the part I want is 11060A but when u check the list that's what I've been sent?

Shall ring them in the morning. I was planning on getting new inlet rubber o-rings anyway so if thats what I've got happy days

Had a look more closely at the MF and the 4 gaskets I have look the same as the 4 in the inlet rubbers but their labeled same number but ending in 'A'. I believe the four I've been sent are the same gaskets but mine are for the 4 gaskets under the intake trumpets on the carbs

Can anyone tell me if this sounds correct? In other words are there 4 round rubber gaskets under the trumpets? (I've never stripped my carbs as far as that)

O rings O rings O rings.

Right.

If you take the bellmouth plate off the carbs (theres 2 screws per carb each side of the velocity stacks) you have an O-Ring under each one that seals the plate to the carbs, hence 4 in total

This is part 92055-1464

The later type inlet manifold rubbers have 4 o-rings underneath them too (however these are quite thin)

http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/images/Lseries/ltopend.gif

You can see them in the Top-End Fiche above

There part 9055-1521

I suspect you have the O rings that go between the bellmouth plate and the carbs.

11060-1139 is the correct part number for the large rubbery gasket that goes around the top of the bellmouth plate that the airbox seals against. Sounds like their packaged incorrectly.

If the o-rings are quite large (lay them around the velocity stack) and fat thats where they go :-)

If there small and thin there for the inlet rubbers. (later type) the L1 - L3 didn't have these.
