First of all, this bike in Italy didn't have a big success, so it's quite difficult to find spare and special parts (btw it's difficult to find the whole bike too
), but here in uk and in germany there's a lot of market for these things. 
I've just bought a 1992 zxr 400 L model with about 40k km, in quite good condition (some little scratches and cracks on the fairings), the bike runs quite smooth and i'm just using it in these days.
btw i'm going to refresh it this autumn, and i've would like to make a little shopping list, with yours advice if possible
-check the air filter (i think now it has the original one fitted on, K&N is a must
)-find out a couple of dymag rims (5" for rear wheel)
-take some aluminium parts from jap4performance: aluminium upper stay,aluminium meter stay and the wounderful adjustable clutch lever
-dyno jet kit
-shortened trasmission kit (did 520?)
-wavy front and rear discs
-ergal screws and minor parts
Any other things?
frentubo metal brake lines, new metzeler M5 interact tires and aluminium race exhaust can are already mounted on the bike.
