On a 92ish ZXR400, 70 something hp and a stock gearbox. I know the backstraight there is something like 3/4 of a mile long, remember blowing my rgv up there years back...

Gearing for Aintree?
Gonna be at Aintree with the ZXR & Rider, any tips on what gearing to use there?

Re: Gearing for Aintree?
I did'nt bother with them mate, they where a pain to get at in the ramairbox under the carbs, so i just left them off. My rubbers where in good nick tho, so did'nt let air in.
If you find you do need them, i will bring some along to aintree for you... but i probs wont get there till after practice

Re: Gearing for Aintree?
That probably explains why these were missing then! I'd put it down to being bodged on, although the rubbers ain't exactly the best so might fathom a way on. Maybe cable ties of something! The bike was refusing to run low down, although it could have been down to the setup rather than an air leak. Will find out once it's back together and ready for Aintree!

Re: Gearing for Aintree?
If ya go to the next meeting, try 15-45 if you have CR box or 14-45 if you have standard box
Josh has CR box and we ran 15-44
Rob has standard box and uses 14-46
We arent at the last meeting cos it clashes with Brands Hatch (ThundersportGB)
Hope this helps
