According to the dsa the ratio of front to rear brake is 75:25 in the dry, and around 50:50 in the wet, feel free to contest, also I use the rear brake in a corner if its dodgy road conditions to keep it controlled

My braking ratios stay the same whatever, I'm just gentler with both, and I do not brake in corners, before them.

If i need to adjust my speed mid-corner.... very gentle changes to the throttle.

I agree with both of you. But when I was doing my training the guy kept going over rear brake control, there was this one corner in town, really tight 90 degree left hand corner, id ride up, go out to the right and flick it round, no problem. The guy then made me stand at the side of the road, then he went round . First my way, then his. His way was alot more controlled, and he explained that by using the rear brake the whole way round and counterbalancing the bike that you could go round much slower, smoother and more stable. Something that stuck with me and in shitty conditions and on crap surfaces I still do. Each to his own...

bike is SOO much better with a radiator that actually radiates heat...now when the bike is moving i can see the needle dropping and then it raises again when i stop...like it should.

wasnt able to really do much with the old one, so i swapped it with the race bike...im on the hunt for a replacement, but at least this gets my commuter bike up and running after the christmas rebuild

had our first baby before xmas, so 'she' made me sell my k1 gsxr back around october.

so i have my zxr l3 off the road about a year, sitting in my shed since some old geezer blindsided me.

have my engine, with a hairline crack on the block where the gene cover sits, so im gonna try fill the crack and see if she will hold oil.

second engine has been in bro in laws bike shop for few months, he done compression test before xmas, valves need to be shimmed...

i COULD take my valves out of my engine and throw them into that engine.. or get them shimmed and see how long they last, that way i could have 2 engines. could buy a donor bike then for second engine...

was thinkin of turning it into a street fighter.. deffo gonna get it back on road either way now.

Shock fitted, removed the swingrm while I was at it, all bearings and sleeves cleaned, greased and replaced as necessary.
Rear braided fitted (in clear for CaNsA)
Front and rear brake fluid replaced etc etc.
Lots of cleaninga and preventitive greasing.
Pillion hangers fitted, not for an actual person, but to hold the remote reservoir Held on with racers friends (in yellow for cargo)
Heater added in garage, it's bloody lovely, heat and cds, ciggie and coffee, bliss.
Insulated garage door expected next week (in purple for my wife)
Battery charged up etc.

How does the bike repay me, fooker won't start,

So more winter work, and would appear to be of the spark variety, my main field of expertise.
