Hello fellow Gillingham dweller!
I got my disks from ABE in Woolwhich £350 for the set including pads. Very pleased with them, just not the cutomer service i received trying to get a rear disk that fitted as they sent me the wrong one.
The number plate bracket is mounted as shown:
I thought i had a picture of the back but seems to have dissapeared somewhere

But i basically cut down the mudguard:
And made up a bracket to make it all fit.
Im hoping to get the ZXR this summer, perhaps get you out with a few of my mates and get up oakdene and bluewater?

What materials did you make your numberplate hanger out of? I fancy having a go ..
Did you CNC it at work/college?

CNC it? i wish! Nope, made it from bits of thin ally sheet i had laying about

Incidentally it actually broke cos id bent it a bit too much which weakened it, bro was helping me get the bike out the shed and the bugger snapped! Kinda bodged at the moment, which gives me something else to do now cos id run out of things to do after the exhuast bracket and the footrests, cheers!

Unfortunately not mate. In fact absolutely nothing since i made that post. It werent long after i did that, that i got a job for the summer and was working 16 hour days, so never got time, then moved upto uni start of september.
Not sure when ill get time to do more, next few months are quite uncertain, i need to get a small job temporarily so i have somewhere to live after uni as i definately dont wanna move back home, and because of that me and the bike will be seperated somewhat. But hoping to get a place with the girlfriend before next september, get moved in and get things rolling again.
Not much left to do tho, i want to rebuild/paint the brakes and get it painted and thats about it i think, oh and need to make a new plate hanger! Ride it around for a while and when ive got a proper job take it to hodson engineering and get the motor blueprinted.
Then ill be making a start on the ZX7, nothing special just getting it back upto spec! Then when thats done, I maybe doing another ZXR!!
