yea, and i've told them i don't go that hard cos its too dangerous. cant understand why they believed me especially as i've wrote off 9 cars and 2 lorries in the past 21 years. thats not includin all the wee bumps and scrapes

Is it me or do drivers get more arsey the closer we get to summer only over the last few mornings iv been surounded by ignorant cunts or been seein more than normal, maybe its the fact that they are fed up with that twat on the green kawasaki in the mornings with an exhaust thats defening and zoomin by at 50 while they are stood still!!!

Update number 2, toad!!!!
Tried to undo a screw that holds the plate in that gives the light beam its shape, but its at an akward angle. So drill a hole in the reflector so i can get to it properly, finally get to said screw and the fucker is rounded :smt013
Yesterday was one of those days i tell you and that topped it right off! Anyways, looks like new headlight time!

get more hot and bothered, and more jealous of the increasing numbers of bikers filtering past as they are slowly cooking in their cars.
i've been seeing more lately as well, but I don't know if that's just cos I've been cycling to work more, and if you think drivers are oblivious to motorbikes you should try pedalling.
i never get stressed in the car or (usually) on motorbikes, but I've come as close as I've ever been to ripping off wing mirrors and kicking doors while cycling.
Think overtaking uphill, towards a junction, over a speedbump, through a traffic calming chicane, in a gigantic volvo estate about 3" from my leg.
Or think overtaking (while I was doing about 20, so not exactly dawdling) when theres stationary traffic 50 yards in front so as soon as they pulled back in front of me they slammed the brakes on (I didn't bother, just pulled out and flew back past down the outside).
Both of these within 1/4 mile of each other earlier this week.

think i spotted a headlight on e bay at the moment, worth checkin out.
bikes rule round here at the minute all cars are bein intimidated into bein nice to us because there are so many of us today, fuckin brilliant there is a road race on less than a mile from my house and the roads were closed from half 4 to 8 o clock for the practice. with the good weather there were literally hundreds of bikes in the area and it gives good weather for tomorrow and its the main races from 10 o clock to about 6. that means thousands of people in the area and most of them on bikes, heaven

Had me eye on a headlight and won it last night. I emailed the chap last night and he seems willing to deliver it personally obviously with me paying him travel expenses etc he only live's a couple of miles away too! So fingers crossed i could have the bike back on the road by the end of next week!

The guy has just delivered to me!!! Havent put it on yet but ive just realised the previous light was a spot light and used a different bulb, therefore the plug probably wont fit! however, i can still make the light work with a bit of jiggery pokery!

Woohoo! Got back and had a look at things, bugger! As i thought i dont have the connecter for the light as it is now where the spotlight would have been originally. But managed to make everything fit and its all working perfectly!
Just booked it in for tuesday and fingers crossed it'll pass

good luck for tuesday. mot must be harder in england for bikes than it is here, they just check everything is workin an then kick the tyres then admire the bike. they haven't much of a clue. my mate has a harley an he says any time he takes it in they spend more time takin photos than they do checkin it over.

Headlight needed some serious adjustment; it was pointing at the sky!, So he got the screwdriver on it but still couldnt get it low enough 'ahh that'll do' he said, fair enough i thought. Printed the ticket out handed it to me 'see ya later' - 'dont i have to pay you anything?' - 'nahhh its fine' - 'ok thanks alot byee'.
So a good result today, safe in the knowledge that my bike is now legal and the retest was free
