Don't go saying that to often, people may start to think your that sorta girl
I also started the same course as you as i failed my AS

(well passed elec.

), there are a couple of cocky tw*ts though, 15 and think they're the dogs bullocks, only on the course as they're school drop outs. But hopefully they wont stay long.
The thing i hate is that i have to do all these key skills etc. as most of the people havnt got C's in english or maths (i do btw lol).
Aced their literacy tests

funnily enough superman thats wot one of the tutors said. he can't imagine most of them making it too the end of the year. some of them just seem really childish. u know the ones who are gonna just mess about all the time and make it so the tutors do something like ban us all from the workshop for the day because of just three ppl.
the one thing i didn't like yesterday was the fact we went into the bike workshop and my mate who died in octobers bike was there. both of them infact. he had a blue zx6r. he crashed one on the way to knott end last june/july and fractured his finger, totally mashed the bike. then he crashed the other on the way to st annes in october and died. the bike is still in pretty good nick tho. i spent most of the morning knowing they were going to be seein the bike. the minute i walked into the garage n saw it i just bottled it.
might sound silly but me and my mate paul who were both really good friend to the lad who died are going to ask the tutor in charge of the garages if they can swap the zx6r for another running bike. we dont particually wanna see 16 years old d!cks messing around wiv it. dont know wot he's going to say like but yeah its worth trying aint it?

yea it is i think they will try to comply with your request cos i dont know many ppl that would like to work on a bike of a pal who died. i think they should get bikes in from a different area so as not to cause upset. like you said you dont wana hear some immature kid laughing about it (althoe they probly dont know what they are doin) its not good. but on the flip side of the coin thats life, its how you pick yourself up an deal with it that makes you the person you are. so CHIN UP MUCKA!

had my first day today. YAWN just form filling stuff. They showed us an example assignment, it was on engine technology, for a pass the q's where things like knowing valve positions relative to each stroke, and knowing about how a 2t works.
Can't rem the merit, but for distinction the hardest q's where things like 'define volumetric efficiency' and 'for what reason does a long stroke give high torque?'

volumetric effieciency, isnt that how well a piston can suck the air and fuel in relative to its volume? And peak power occurs when it does this best?

yea basically just getting the biggest bang for swept volume size. Be it turbo, free flowing head, turbulant mixture whatever. Kids stuff. as far as what they expected you to write.

Its official the class that started with 16 has not dropped to about 10. And even then most of the lads dont turn up on some days because they cant be bothered. I passed all my online tests with 3 distinctions and 2 merits and have almost completed all of the workshop tasks. Only thing I have to complain about is the fact that most of the lads dont turn up because they cant be bothered and I had a sub-total thyroidectomy and was back in a week later....stitches and all!

Now ours has so few people, they have mergered us with a car group

. They say the priciples are the same on both car and bike, which is essentially true, but the way the work are totally different. We were doing suspesnion, there is a fair bit of difference between car bike bike suspenstion .
I'm just going to get all the tests done asap then get out of there.
