Yes, that is why I don't want to remove the top yoke, I don't have a large enough spanner or socket, guess I'll have to dig deep and buy one!!

Does anyone know what size the nut is? I don't have a gauge to measure it. I would prefer to use a socket as these things have a habit of slipping if you use an adjustable and you end up with scratched knuckles and rounded nuts (not those nuts!).

cant remember off the top of my head i think 22 or 23 mm.

I think it's 30mm off the top of my head, if I remember I'll check tomorrow

It's actually 36mm.

I've used a large adjustable before now, but if the nut is a bit tight, it's quite a dodgy way of doing it

my local bike shop used a big adjustable, slipped and scratched the tank- right in front of me! make sure you cover the tank if your using a spanner...

I managed to remove the top yoke. Found a socket which I use for removing the oil filter cap on my diesel vectra, I think it is 30mm. Bloody hard work with a broken wrist I can tell you!!! I may polish the yoke now I have it free.

I have straightened the clip-on now with the help of my mate fred saunders who is an ex formula 5000 racing driver who has an amazing garage.

Should get mirrors and levers tomorrow and other bits from M1 breakers by the end of the week. Plastic welded the lower fairing and fillered the scuffs in the front top fairing. More sanding and painting...

Wont take much to put back together once i have the bits. just got to get the courage to get back on it then!
