Surely this could be interpreted from your post as to be merely the mechanical movement of the throttle grip as opposed to when the engine is actually running.

when i brake hard on my zxr such as someone pulling out or traffic lights changing the revs dont drop as fast as the bike slows down so when it comes to a stop the revs are a little higher than they should be, but then after 1 - 2 seconds they return to normal. Any ideas?

Hi,
I think you'll find either 1. the carbs need balancing or... 2. the mixture is too lean.
Take the tank off and set it down somewere, buy some 8mm fuel line and run it from the tank to the fuel filter, turn the engine on and try richening the mixture by turning the mixture screws out 1/2 a turn each then see what she runs like. Give it a couple of blips etc...

my L1 did exactly the same as what yours is doing, and the carbs were replaced and balanced and still the same.
didnt bother me
