Ditto! I looked at the thread and you were last to have posted but your post wasnt there, and neither was mine!

Get a compression test done mate, only way to confirm it. It could be the stat/thermistor or whatever is it being stuck, so check those also. Basically it wouldnt piss out water unless it was pressurised or the coolant is getting exceptionally hot, which i think is the latter as yours is running hotter than normal, so that could be down to the head gasket or maybe the the stat/thermistor getting stuck closed. How many miles has the bike done? If its roughly 20k you could be looking at the gasket unfortunately.

Well, I just went for a 120km burn to scrub in my new tyre. Strange thing is the bike didn't get above 2 bars!? It ran fine and didn't overheat, even at traffic lights!
However, as the weather was so good, and I had such a good ride, I went out again just now and it started running hot again. Pulled over to let it cool and see if anything was coming out the overflow. Started her up again and rode home and it didn't overheat!? Temperamental son of a...

The radiator seems to work, I think it's lack of fan that screws it up. The fan is capable of cooling it down, it just comes in far too late.

Anyway, I'm just ranting. Like you say, a compression test will throw some light on the matter. I can't be bothered to do compression tests tonight though. My f%@king exhaust is blowing again too :smt013 Gonna have to fill the join with firegum again...
