i read here somewhere about a mod,f3 air intake, what is this, does any one know?also i have a h1 the rad seems small and a nice size,if i was to modify the rad other than cutting it for the air intake ,like putting in a ddifferent rad, what could i do?probably best just to leave it?

F3 intake for the H models is/was a polycarbonate airtray + bellmouths, like this..
The H1 rad is a tad small for racing, the H2 rad is the same size as an L but has brackets suitable for the H1 frame. An L radiator may be a better option despite the need for home made brackets as the inlet is straight rather than 90' so the thermostat housing can be spun 180 and the pipe run up the right hand side of the bike straight to the rad instead of up the left and across the top of the engine .. which fouls the airtray (and some ram-air boxes)
depends whats easier for you to do, fab brackets or mod the inlet ?

mines never been run .. so i cant comment from experience .. but they moved to a sealed ram-air box a year later and kept it for 10+ years .. so im guessing it wasnt exactly great. I bought it out of curiosity really, and cos i fancied building an F3 rep..
