The standard camshafts if memory serves me right have no where to bolt slotted cam sprocket to. They are pressed on.................it is of course possible to press them off and move them but that would take some very accurate measuring and perhaps a bit of wielding to make sure they are secure.

I have a set of GSXR 600 camshafts and that is how they have been modified.

I have a cam profile I want to try & dont want to strip a set of SP's for their sprockets. The standard sprockets are hardened so they have to be softened machined & re hardened. Cargo does the GSXR600 run the same cam chain pitch & width as the 400.

I honestly couldn't tell you been a long time since I was inside a GSXR engine......................I couldn't even be sure where the camshafts that I have are buried in the depths of my workshop somewhere :smt017
