Im letting mine go.
After much thought this year, im deciding to go with the er6.. or maybe sv. might be a er6 in a zxr frame.. not sure yet.
have decided to join the minitwin bregade and just have fun again and not worry about having to change the oil and filter every meeting, etc... There is no point in having a top class zxr if im not a top class rider.
Plus, the manx calls next year, and the er6 is the way to go.

Very nice bike and a good package Jake, just wish I had the £3k to spend and I've have a bloody good spare bike!

Do you mind if I ask where you got the CF front mudguard from? I've been casually looking for one for a while with no success

Seems like a bit of a bargain to me :smt001 or maybe I've just lost touch with values recently :smt017
Jake, is that +1mm engine 80bhp on Dynapro Dyno? last time I spoke to Chris he was getting 75 ish!

thanks for the comments.
Cargo, its on the cards mate. We are planning a few trips before next year, but need to ask you when the next guided trip was, this year or early next?
Alan, i got the carbon mudguard in one of the many spending sprees i had when i had a bit more money! came with a broken race bike from a friend. So im not sure where he got it from.
Greville, The prices have taken a nosedive over the lastyear, i think with the continued popularity of the minitwins.
All my stuff chris sorts, as i really trust the guy and have never had any probs. I stated 80hp because i know that what chris's +1 motors get on a dynojet, but your right they are 75 ish on his dynopro.
I guess im aiming the bike at the bigger faster clubs as that where it will do the buisness, and the last couple of top 400's have been advertised as dynojet figures of circa 80hp.
just do want people thinkin it was 'down' on power at only 75, if they only glanced at my add! i think i think to much!

My budget RMKD engine with std pistons made 76bhp on chris's dyno.He thought I was taking the piss when i told him they were just std.Just goes to show how good Roger is at doing these motors.

Rogers engines no doubt do very well.
I think the gain with oversize pistons is not so much the peak power tho, its when you get the power.

Hi Jake

I totally and completely understand, everyone talks about 80bhp zxr’s. I didn’t mean to suggest at all that you were misrepresenting the power if that’s the way it came across, I was really just interested if Chris had found a few extra ponies for a zxr, that’s all. (But, dare I say why on a zxr forum :smt002 )

Robbie

In my opinion, not having spoken to RMKD but having read a lot about what he does, he does seem to specialise in getting power without huge expense. I have wondered what he may achieve with a few extra bits added such as the +1mm pistons. But I do know that +1mm pistons will not increase top bhp by much, maybe 1 to 1.5 bhp in my experience, but they will give better mid range power and torque, that in itself will not necessarily produce quicker lap times as it will depend on the power curve and how you use it. I actually preferred the extra 1,000 revs available with the lighter pistons as it gave me a wider power band and combined with the correct gearing could be considered more usable, but that’s just my opinion. I also believe using more expensive new components will lead to less frequency of necessary refreshes to keep the engine on the boil so to speak.

Anyway, I shall go back to my hole, and maybe appear again in another 6 months :smt004
