hi guys

i picked my bike up 4 days ago, it was fine to start with was running fine

went to go out on it yesterday and it starts up fine, click it in gear let the cluth out and it just dies. i tried to go out again today and it done the same.

any help will be much apreciated

Side stand switch. make sure the switch is all the way pulled out. get a pair of pliers on there while siting on the bike and pull it.

Mine occasionally used to do that until I cleaned the switch, but I used to turn the bike off, put the sidestand down and up again and turn it on a press the button, normally worked

Thanks for the help it worked for a couple of days now it's doing it again.... Could it just be a faulty switch?

Faulty switch, dodgy connections or the switch might have moved and just needs repositioning

i would try first bypassing the sidestand switch and see if that cures it.

next, bypass the clutch switch and see if that clears it.

if not, bypass both and that should solve it

to bypass the sidestand switch, unplug the switch and bridge the connector on the wiring loom side of the connector with a paper clip, bit of wire etc, something to make a connection, then see if the bike moves in gear (if you have a paddock stand it makes this very easy).

the clutch switch has 3 wires, you need to unplug the switch and then bridge the wiring loom side's black and black/yellow wires.
