its ace, if i remember right (and i usually dont) the city is divided into sections like the arts are, shopping area etc.

And despite what they tell you the guiness doesnt taste best from the factory. One of the locals will point you to the best place!! We followed that advice and ended up in a right moody place but the pint in there was awesome!!

Unlucky
There is a road race on 1st July but it's way down in Limerick.

And you miss Skerries road races which is on 6th and 7th July but only a short train journey from Dublin.
Pity really cos Skerries is brilliant like a little mad TT race huge crowds and lots of racing/drinking/parties

The Viking Splash Tour is a fun and unique way to see Dublin by land and by water. During the tour, the costumed Viking Captains will explain all about how the Vikings first settled in Dublin over 1000 years ago. The highlight of the Tour is when the Viking Captain drives the Viking Splash Vehicle into the waters of the historic Grand Canal Basin.

Viking Splash Tours are suitable for all the family, young and old and the entire tour lasts one hour and fifteen minutes. There are two departure points, one at Bull Alley Street beside gardens of St. Patrick's Cathedral and also from Stephen's Green North.

Opening Times:

March - October 10.00am - 5.00pm
Tour leaves every half hour.

Admission:

Adults:
€15.50 (Not incl. July and August) - €17.50 (All July and August)

Children under 13yr:
€8.50 Monday - Friday (not incl. July & August) - €9.50 All July & August
Children under 2 years are not allowed on the water part of tour.

Family tickets ( 2 adults and up to 3 children):
€50 (not incl. weekends in June and all July and August)
€57 (weekends in June and all July and August)

been planning extra things for my trip whenever i get chance now.

apparently there is a really good guided tour bus which stops at all the good sites - and pubs! and even better is the fact its terminal is two streets away from our hotel

i hear that not only guinness but also magners, jameson and harp have factories there! also wanna go to this old victorian pub i hear a lot about, aswell as trying some proper IRISH STEW

so all in all a busy few days away - loadsa food and beer, hopefully a SH@G for good measure too :smt002

your right in the center so. loads around that area

try a restraunt in temple bar called the mongolian barbecue
its a strange set up, you take your bowl and fill it at a self service type counter with anything you want meat, rice, sauses, veg,etc then bring it to the bbq and the chef cooks it. its hard to explain but if i remember right its an all you can eat restraunt
