and replace with a universal clutch and decompressor/hot start assembly from a mx/enduro bike. Any one forsee any problems?

Clutch lever i know will work and replacement/flip up levers are less than a tenner which is an obvious plus. The decompressor/hot start is like an extra lever on top that would operate the choke. It doesnt need it for any length of time anyway. The whole thing is more compact and weighs lots less than standard kit.

i binned the whole choke cable, have a cable tie straight off the carbs out the side of the bike..

never need choke anyway, if its cold enough that you do, you should be questioning your sanity at going round a racetrack .. .

I rode Cadwell a few year ago in the snow and i've been out in ice too. Its not too bad on a supermoto they crash well.

Might look into the choke options, does yours need pulling all the way out or just tickling a little?

full choke to start her up from cold, blip it a couple of times and set a fast idle with the idle adjustor

once she's warmed up the choke's never needed

was thinking about using a mountain bike thumbshifter mounted between the fairing and frame or something,, but dont think i'll bother. its just something else to break in the event of an off.
